2021-2024

I took two website design and development courses during my time at York University, but really got into it once I immersed myself into agency life. Because of my time spent learning about both the design and development stages of web, I feel that I can better understand user experience and interaction during the brainstorming phase, and make sure a website is aesthetically pleasing, reflects the company's mission and branding, and helps the user navigate the site as efficiently as possible.

I have had the pleasure of working on website design for multiple clients with Twin Creek Media. Starting with content planning and homepage design, and then moving on to wireframing, image sourcing, illustration and icon design, and working with the developers, I see each project through to the end.

Bullseye Packaging

Bullseye Packaging has worked with beverage, food, and consumer goods companies such as Twisted Tea, Nestle, SunRype, Nutiva, and more. I had the opportunity to update the look and feel of their website using modern fonts, bright colours, and captivating shapes and movements.

The website received an award from CSSDesignAwards in 2022 for UX/UI Design and Innovation.

Synergy Landscape Design

Synergy Landscape Design needed to update and modernize their website in order to keep up with their competitors in the luxury landscape industry. I re-designed their website; introducing new and modern fonts, bolder and richer colours, and the modernized use of large images and bold typography. Synergy’s new website effectively displays their services to new customers in a sleek design, while appealing to the target demographic.

Jani-King of Southern Ontario

Jani-King of Southern Ontario is a cleaning company that is part of a larger Jani-King franchise. I designed their website using recognizable Jani-King elements but gave it an extra touch of personality to make it stand out against competitors. Some of these elements include the interactive map highlighting their areas of service and easily recognizable icons to distinguish what facilities they work on.

The Greenery Garden Centre

The Greenery is Kelowna’s most popular local plant and garden centre, and I modernized their website to bring in new traffic and make navigation easier for users, The new website introduces new ways to shop such as an in-store plant locator, a wishlist page, and the ability to browse an online catalogue.

I also designed social post templates and an eNewsletter template in Mailchimp for The Greenery to match their updated website branding.

Jim Dent Construction
Jim Dent Construction

Jim Dent Construction is a leader in the heavy civil construction industry in British Columbia. Their old website was dated and difficult to navigate, so a new design was needed to help users find what they were looking for throughout the site. I introduced new icons and illustrations to the website to give it an extra “wow factor” against its competitors while keeping the design sleek, modern, and usable.

I worked on more print and digital marketing pieces for Jim Dent Construction, take a look at their whole project here

National Storage

National Storage is a “one-stop-storage-shop” located in West Kelowna, BC and was in need of a website re-design. The updated website brought a new voice and aesthetic to National Storage’s brand. I wanted to reflect the fun and quirky personality in the website’s writing in its design and did so using new illustrations, icons, fonts, and styling.
